recent cartoons

In the past few days there have been cartoons being passed around work poking fun at certain members of our administration. Everyone has a freedom to speech, but if you feel so strongly about these people and their actions, put your name on your cartoons, or better yet, go to them and tell them how you feel face-to-face. You may not realize this, but other people are being blamed four YOUR cartoons and that's wrong. This could potentially affect someone else's future here.

If I may, Equensuehocha is right, to hide your view allowing some one else to get slammed is wrong. Unfortunately this seems to be the cont trend here. Everyone has a opnion but to damn shallow to place a name with it. There may be alot a things happening here that may not be popular but to " add fuel to a fire " that you dont like, most of the time will only cause the fire to burn bigger and hotter. So not to preach but we need everyone here esp with the storm season coming and we all need to be on the same page LIKE it or NOT. If you feel it's that bad for you then look inside and choose your path to happiness, hopefully it still involves being here. It may not, so till you go, dont make it harder for those that are here, you probably know who has ben blamed for your actions be a man or women about it and give them an apoligy.

it's just a release forsomeone to express themselves... i don't see anything wrong with the drawings... maybe this person feels better expressing their frustrarions this way. it doesn't matter who drew it, they had their reasons and it id=s not for us to question. why would abyone be "blamed" for it anyway. to me it appears as a joke, and thats how i took it. if it offended anyone, then maybe the illustrator should apologize to those people. the blog is here for us to voice our opinions and communicate amongst each other, preferably in a positive manner. i agree with t-man that we do need to unify as a division for the difficult summer months ahead... no one likes to be on call, but for now, thats the way it is, so lets all suck it up and pull your share to make this a more tolerable enviroment to work. things are difficult now, but hopefully this will be an enjoyable system to work in again soon. A.K.

Everybody deals with stressful issues in different ways. Me, personally, for example....I deal with pretty much everything with my sense of humor. Comedy and humor have helped me get this far in life, and it will continue to pull me through everything else. I was blessed with the gift of humor, and I plan on using it wisely. If someone is being falsely accused of drawing the cartoons, they should just be able to say that they have nothing to do with it and that should be the end of it. People need to be able to express their feelings, and it shouldn't matter who did it. Nobody should be concerned with who drew the cartoons.....the concern right now should be the upcoming storm season and how the heck we can keep our employees.

that's fine if you want to spend your time drawing lame cartoons about people you work with but leave them at home, put them up on your wall if you're so proud. the first one was a little funny but the second ws stupid. we've got bigger things to worry about and this is only making things worse. instead of waisting time drwaing cartoons, spend it looking for another job if you're so unhappy.

I feel the cartoon is a nice release but i mean make it about recent issues the first one although funny that happened over 7 months ago and if you still have issues with that you need to seek some profesionsl help.

Just because someone drew some cartoons poking fun at certain individuals in this division doesn't mean we're not all on the same page and that our hurricane preparations will be weaker. Come on. Since when does everyone hold this administration in such esteem anyway?? As for people griping about the author not signing their works...would YOU?

I liked the cartoons. They made me laugh. And if they piss you off more than something like losing Jazz Fest...well, all the easier for Acadian to assimilate you if things go that way.

Humor comedy I'm all for it, hell melinda right about coping mechanism, I'm the same way. That wasnt what I said at all though, was just bad timing with all the inner gripping etc going on, right now. To answer your Question ANONYMOUS look at the name attached to this, look at my tag name, now I could be a 400lbs asian, hungarian man dressed in a tootoo using this tag name, but It's not, so yes I sign my name why say something that you cant stand up to and be proud of, ok ANONYMOUS. Dont know anything about that huh!! I know you do.

I thought that the cartoons had some comic relief...however, some of the stuff in the cartoons can be looked at as a huge character insult. I can tell you all that the cartoon which depicted "Dr. Sappy" crying was an insult to me personally considering that it is believed that all of us on the L.Z. the night of the bridge incident were "comfy." If the comic among us has the gonads....come and let me know who you are....I'll let you know just how "comfy" we all were there and the story behind that. I must caution you though...make sure that you know the facts about what happened there before you make ASSumptions. ----Nick

the cartoons were funny and i think most of them were take pot shots at management...I myself have nothing against management because they haven't screwed me yet that's a big yet....of course i disagree on some of the things they have done and how they handled some of the employees but the thing is most people here have no outside hobbies well that is what is seems like because if they did they would'nt spend all thier time bitchin'...just come to work do your job and go home....and enjoy doing something on your days of with the money you make that's how you survive in ems

I thought the cartoons were quite funny and hoped to see some more. But the personal attacks were a bit out of line. I also think that the author should at least apologize to the those being blamed for them and be a man or woman which ever they might be.By the way if any one is still twisted in the noggin over all this crap and cant seem to move on with a normal life, there is still help at city hall for free.

Hey Scotter , miss you back....
