EMS 2.0: An Inconvenient EMS Truth
An excellent, thought provoking look into the reality of EMS and it's necessary future.
Downgrading calls to non-emergent status (i.e. Code 1 Response) has been one of the main focuses of EMD/Pro-QA for a LONG time now, as a large majority of risk is when the truck goes woo woo. BTW did you notice that the town of 90,000 with 14,000 calls staffed 11 units?!?! Wow. Overall a damned good article. Thanks Sean. Makes you feel a little silly going woo woo to the 112 y.o. who coughed twice 2 days ago.
